Your role at SAYM

As part of our engineering team you will further improve and extend our core matching algorithm. You will work with state-of-the-art methods to improve the accuracy and speed of our algorithm. As part of your thesis you will start with an understanding of our current and other state-of-the-art methods, based on a literature research. Afterwards you will implement a prototypical version which you will evaluate based on qualitative metrics. With your help we will be able to improve the user experience even more!


  • Literature research in the field of path similarity
  • Develop/choose metrics to evaluate path similarity
  • Implement a prototype of your improved path similarity algorithm
  • Evaluate and document your results


  • Programming skills in any language you like
  • Fluent German or English
  • Independent working methods
  • Skills in OO and test-driven development
  • Algorithmic experience
